Integration of the shadow.
this is the concept that inspired my last asset pack!
the idea that a monster, a twisted beast resides inside every one of us.
A part of us that if left unchecked and unacknowledged, could lead to the actual manifestation of evil.
but if faced voluntarily and INTEGRATED proves a massive opportunity for self-discovery and growth.
It's something like, why would for example in harry potter, be a house that seems like all bad people come from? (arguably also the best came from that house 🐍 ), Maybe it's because, the worst part of you, deserves a seat at the table too.
The shadow is a concept developed by Swiss psychiatrist Carl Gustav Jung, it represents the hidden, darker side of human nature that individuals may not be consciously aware of. It can manifest as negative emotions, fears, and socially unacceptable desires.
I came to know this idea from the work of Jordan Peterson, and it has been tremendously valuable in helping me navigate my own mind and expand my self-awareness.
